If they are installed with the membership key, licenses are added automatically for individual addons and qualify you for automatic updates for as long as your license is active.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Download, install, and activate <a href=\"https:\/\/wpeasyupdates.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WP Easy Updates<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Copy your membership key from the top of <a href=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/your-account\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">\/your-account\/<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Open up WP Backend -> GeoDirectory -> Extensions -> Membership<\/li>\n<li>Add your Membership License key<\/li>\n<li>Click back to the Addons tab<\/li>\n<li>Install all the Addons you need<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you have purchase a new membership or are using the membership key for the first time and want to switch from individual license keys to using the membership license key, follow these steps:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Check your GD Uninstall options, make sure nothing is checked in -> GeoDirectory &#8211; Settings &#8211; Uninstall (nothing checked)<\/li>\n<li>Visit WP Backend -> Plugins &#8211; Deactivate all GD Addons (leave core activated)<\/li>\n<li>Delete all GeoDirectory Addons (leave core activated)<\/li>\n<li>Add your key as described above and install the addons you need.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>WP Backend -> GeoDirectory -> Extensions<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs-v2\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2018\/08\/membership-key.jpg\"><img src=\"http:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs-v2\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2018\/08\/membership-key.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"695\" height=\"396\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-919\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs-v2\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2018\/08\/membership-key.jpg 695w, https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs-v2\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2018\/08\/membership-key-300x171.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 695px) 100vw, 695px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><a name=\"download\" href=\"#download\">Download and install an individual addon<\/a><\/h3>\n<p>Once you have purchased a license you can find all the files and licenses for your Addons in the &#8220;My Account&#8221; section of the site here: <em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/your-account\/\">https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/your-account\/<\/a><\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Purchase a license or membership to access the plugin.<\/li>\n<li>Login to your account on this site, and find the plugin you want to add. <\/li>\n<li>Click on the name of the plugin to download the ZIP file to your computer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><a name=\"install\" href=\"#install\">Install the new plugin on your site<\/a><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Log in to the WordPress Admin area of your site.<\/li>\n<li>Navigate to <em><strong>Plugins<\/strong><\/em> &gt;\u00a0 <em><strong>Add New<\/strong><\/em> &gt; and click on <em><strong>Upload<\/strong><\/em>.<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Browse<\/strong><\/em> for the plugin ZIP file on your computer.<\/li>\n<li>Click<em><strong> install<\/strong><\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Wait for the upload to complete.<\/li>\n<li>Click to <em><strong>Activate<\/strong><\/em> the new plugin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><a name=\"settings\" href=\"#settings\">Review and adjust plugin settings<\/a><\/h3>\n<p>As soon the plugin is activated, you will be taken to the Settings page of the new plugin. You can adjust the settings now, or return to the same screen to continue with setup later.<\/p>\n<h3><a name=\"updates\" href=\"#updates\">Configure Automatic Updates<\/a><\/h3>\n<p>Automatic updates of Addons and Payment Gateways are handled through the WP Easy Updates plugin. Install the plugin and add your license to enable automatic updates.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Download, install, and activate <a href=\"https:\/\/wpeasyupdates.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WP Easy Updates<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Visit your account to retrieve license keys:\u00a0<em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/your-account\/\">https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/your-account\/<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li>Refresh the plugins page to see the License link next to each plugin.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the green text that says <em><strong>Licence<\/strong><\/em> and add your licence key.<\/li>\n<li>Click on <em><strong>Activate<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li>Once the license is activated, the plugin will now display information about updates when available, plus a link to automatically update the plugin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><a name=\"multisite\" href=\"#multisite\">How to Setup for Multisite<\/a><\/h3>\n<p>WP Easy Updates should be network activated, Updates can happen on any site where your user is both admin and network admin.<\/p>\n<p>GeoDirectory core and addons Cannot be network activated, and must be licensed on each site.<\/p>\n<p>WPI core and addons Cannot be network activated, and licenses must be installed on each site.<\/p>\n<p>UWP core and addons Can be network activated, and must be licensed on each site.<\/p>\n<h3><a name=\"licensing\" href=\"#licensing\">How to add Licenses<\/a><\/h3>\n<p>Once you have installed the GD plugins on your site, they will show up on the plugins page.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Install <a href=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/wp-easy-updates\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">WP Easy Updates<\/a> to license your addons and receive automatic updates. However, this only works for the original install of the plugin. It is not possible to upgrade a theme or plugin using the same process. Instead, WordPress will say &#8220;destination already exists&#8221; when trying to upgrade using a zip file and will fail to upgrade the theme or plugin.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/easy-theme-and-plugin-upgrades\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Easy Theme and Plugin Upgrades<\/a> fixes this limitation in WordPress by automatically upgrading the plugin if it already exists.<\/p>\n<p>To perform a manual upgrade of an addon:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Install and activate <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/easy-theme-and-plugin-upgrades\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Easy Theme and Plugin Upgrades<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Download the addon you want to update from <a href=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/your-account\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/your-account\/<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Visit the plugin page of your site and choose &#8220;Add New&#8221; and then &#8220;Upload Plugin&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>Find the addon file, and choose &#8220;Install&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Next you should see a confirmation that the plugin will be updated, and in some case an option to backup the older version of the plugin. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In most cases, it is also possible to simply deactivate a plugin, delete it, and upload the new version. Check with the plugin author to find out if the plugin automatically cleans up data on uninstall. In either case, your updates may fail because you license keys are on anew URL.<\/p>\n<p>To fix the issue, simply deactivate and then reactivate your license keys with these steps:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Visit the plugins page on your site.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the license link.<\/li>\n<li>Copy the key to your clipboard.<\/li>\n<li>Click deactivate, and then click on the deactivation confirmation.<\/li>\n<li>Click on license again and paste the key.<\/li>\n<li>Click activate, and then click on the activation confirmation.<\/li>\n<li>Repeat for each plugin, and when finished refresh the page.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the automatic update links for each plugin to update them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote><p>I have a single site license. Why is my update failing?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>If you have a single site license, then whenever your site domain changes you will need to update the license for each plugin. For example, you might have been working on a development site at one URL, and now you have moved the site to a new URL. Follow these steps to deactivate the license at the old URL and activate the license at the new URL.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Update single site license when the old site is still active<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Visit the old site at the old URL.<\/li>\n<li>Visit the old site plugin page.<\/li>\n<li>Find the addon license and click &#8220;Deactivate&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>Visit the new site at the new URL and go to the plugins page.<\/li>\n<li>Find the addon license and paste your license code, then press Activate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Update Single site license when the old site has been decommissioned or is otherwise not available.<\/strong><br \/>\nIt may be that you started working on a site, then changed the URL or deleted or otherwise decommissioned the site. What do I do?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>First of all, make sure you have WP Easy Updates installed. If it has been installed and activated, make sure to refresh the page.
