Saving a CSV correctly<\/h3>\n

  1. We regularly see CSV files that are saved with incorrect settings, for example they are not saved with c<\/strong><\/span>omma s<\/span><\/strong>eparated v<\/span><\/strong>alues (CSV), but tab separated values, and then they look like this when opened:

  2. To make sure you save your CSV file correctly, choose Save a copy<\/strong><\/em> from the File<\/strong><\/em> menu:

  3. In the next dialog box, tick Edit filter settings<\/strong><\/em> and then\u00a0Save<\/em><\/strong>:

  4. In the next dialog box, make sure you pick UTF-8<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0as character set and comma<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0as field delimiter:

  5. Your file should now look like this when opened as a comma delimited file:
