This table lists some important things you should never do, and some things you definitely should do.<\/p>\n

Page caching plugins do not work well with GD, GD creates page dynamically. GD Booster<\/a> is specifically designed to cache GD pages and your normal WordPress pages. Do NOT<\/strong> install and activate the BuddyPress Integration<\/a> or the AffiliateWP Integration<\/a> addons without installing the BuddyPress<\/a> or AffiliateWP<\/a> plugins themselves first.<\/td>\nTick Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders<\/strong><\/em> in the WordPress Media settings READ MORE<\/a><\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Do NOT<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0delete a location in the list of locations at Multilocations, because that will also delete any listings in that location!\u00a0READ MORE<\/strong><\/a><\/td>\nCreate at least one<\/strong><\/em> category for your Custom Post Types like Places<\/strong> or Events<\/strong>, AND each listing has to be in at least one category, or your listings will not show on the frontend of your site\u00a0READ MORE<\/a><\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Do NOT<\/strong><\/em> use any parent page for any of the GD pages. READ MORE<\/strong><\/a><\/td>\nBackup<\/strong> your database and files before trying customizations. You will be able to restore your site if you break something.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Do NOT<\/strong><\/em> import CSV files with post IDs unless you want to over-write\/update existing listings. If you add post IDs that refer to an existing WP page or WP post, or another GD listing, they will be over-written.\u00a0\u00a0READ MORE<\/strong><\/a><\/td>\nIf using GD for the homepage of your site, make sure to set WP Admin > Settings > Reading > Front page displays > Your latest posts > YES<\/strong><\/em>.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
