<a href=\"#near\">near autocompleter settings<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; <a href=\"#redirect\">redirect settings on first time load<\/a> &#8211; <a href=\"#geolocation\">geolocation settings<\/a>)<\/p>\n<h3><a name=\"intro\"><\/a>Introduction<\/h3>\n<p>This addon extends the default GeoDirectory search widget by letting you filter search results by certain custom fields you may have added to your listings.<\/p>\n<p>For example, if you had added a custom select field\u00a0<em><strong>Pet Friendly<\/strong><\/em> you could then filter results that only include pet friendly listings, this could be useful for hotels, caf\u00e9\u2019s, bars etc.<\/p>\n<p>You can also filter by multiple values, you could set up your directory so you could search for <em><strong>Pet Friendly<\/strong><\/em>, <em><strong>F<\/strong><\/em>\u201d listings within 10 miles of the location you enter in the <em><strong>Near<\/strong><\/em> field.<\/p>\n<p>This plugin also integrates well with our <a href=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/addons\/custom-post-types\/\">GeoDirectory Custom Post Types<\/a> plugin to allow you to <a href=\"#filter\">add different filter<\/a> options per post type and also search per post type.<\/p>\n<h3><a name=\"install\"><\/a>Installation<\/h3>\n<p>Installation is done by uploading the ZIP file in the plugin section of your WordPress admin area.<br \/>\n<a href=\"\/docs\/installing-addons\/\"><i class=\"fa fa-folder-open fa-2x\" style=\"color: orange;\"><\/i> Installing GD Addons<\/a><\/p>\n<h3><a name=\"config\"><\/a>Configuration<\/h3>\n<p>Once you activated the Advanced Search Filters addon, you will get a new set of settings in the GD admin panel:<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"greenborder\" src=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/07\/adv1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"681\" height=\"74\" \/><\/p>\n<h4><a name=\"search\"><\/a>SEARCH AUTOCOMPLETER SETTINGS<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Enable Search autocompleter:<\/strong> This setting will start giving suggestions as your visitor start searching:<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"greenborder\" src=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/07\/adv2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"681\" height=\"127\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Autosubmit the form on select a Search option:<\/strong>\u00a0If this\u00a0option is selected, the search form will automatically load the detail page of the listing selected.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Min chars needed to trigger autocomplete:<\/strong> Enter a number of characters here before the autocompleter search is triggered.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Max Results to be returned by autocomplete:<\/strong> Enter a number here to limit the number of listings presented by the autocompleter.<\/p>\n<h4><a name=\"near\"><\/a>NEAR AUTOCOMPLETER SETTINGS<\/h4>\n<p><i class=\"fa fa-lightbulb-o fa-2x\" style=\"color: green;\"><\/i> <span style=\"color: #008000;\">This setting will only be here if you have the <a style=\"color: #008000;\" href=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/category\/addons\/location-manager\/\">Location Manager addon<\/a> activated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Enable Near autocompleter:<\/strong>\u00a0This setting will start giving suggestions as your visitor start searching:<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"greenborder\" src=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/07\/adv4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"733\" height=\"173\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Autosubmit the form on select a Search option:<\/strong>\u00a0If this\u00a0option is selected, the search form will automatically load the detail page of the listing selected.<\/p>\n<h4><a name=\"redirect\"><\/a>REDIRECT SETTINGS ON FIRST TIME LOAD<\/h4>\n<p><i class=\"fa fa-lightbulb-o fa-2x\" style=\"color: green;\"><\/i> <span style=\"color: #008000;\">This setting will only be here if you have the <a style=\"color: #008000;\" href=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/category\/addons\/location-manager\/\">Location Manager addon<\/a> activated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i class=\"fa fa-exclamation-triangle fa-2x\" style=\"color: orange;\"><\/i> You will need to have a secure site &#8211; HTTPS &#8211; with a SSL certificate installed for geolocation and redirection to work in all browsers and devices.<\/p>\n<p>There are 3 options:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>No redirect:<\/strong> You guessed right, no redirection <i class=\"fa fa-smile-o fa-2x\" style=\"color: orange;\"><\/i><\/li>\n<li><strong>Redirect to nearest location <\/strong><i><strong>(on first time load users will be auto geolocated and redirected to nearest geolocation found):<\/strong>\u00a0<\/i>With this option,\n<ol>\n<li>the system will try to locate where the visitor is located<\/li>\n<li>if there are listings within the set search radius, a page will be served with those listings and the location of the visitor<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"greenborder\" src=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/07\/loc21.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"462\" height=\"269\" \/><\/li>\n<li>if there are no listings close to the visitor, then the system will look in your database to determine what\u00a0the closest location is to the visitor<\/li>\n<li>and then serve the location page for that location.<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Example:<\/strong><\/em>\n<ol>\n<li>There are only 2 locations in your database: New York City and Los Angeles.<\/li>\n<li>A visitor who is in San Francisco visits your website.<\/li>\n<li>The system will redirect to <strong><em>yoursite.com\/location\/united-states\/california\/los-angeles<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Redirect to default location <\/strong><i><strong>(on first time load users will be redirected to default location:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/i>This setting will redirect your visitors on first entry to the location page of your <a href=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/definitions\/#default-location\">default location<\/a>.<br \/>\nUsing the example just above, if\u00a0New York City is your default location, any visitors landing on your site will be redirected to\u00a0<strong><em>yoursite.com\/location\/united-states\/new-york\/new-york-city.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4><a name=\"geolocation\"><\/a>GEOLOCATION SETTINGS<\/h4>\n<p><i class=\"fa fa-exclamation-triangle fa-2x\" style=\"color: orange;\"><\/i> You will need to have a secure site &#8211;
