For example, online businesses etc<\/p>\n<h3><a id=\"analytics\"><\/a>Google Analytics tab<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-112\" src=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/core-ga.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"618\" height=\"83\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/core-ga.png 618w, https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/core-ga-300x40.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 618px) 100vw, 618px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This tab allows you to setup Google Analytics so you can analyse your website traffic, and you can also make Google Analytics available to be shown to your users.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/gd-core-plugin-google-analytics\/\">Please see this page for full setup instructions.<\/a><\/p>\n<h3><a id=\"search\"><\/a>Search tab<\/h3>\n<p><img src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/core-search.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>Limit squared distance area to X miles (helps improve search speed):<strong> \u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>This setting is used when you make a search using the \u201cNear\u201d box.<br \/>\nIf there was no setting here then any search would return every result matching your search term ordered by distance from the \u201cNear\u201d location. This is OK on a small site but if your site has thousands or more listings, then this can slow the search results down.<br \/>\nThis setting will limit the search to only listings within X square miles of the \u201cNear\u201d location.<br \/>\nFor example if you set the setting to 25 and did a search for<em><strong> Food<\/strong><\/em> Near: <em><strong>empire state building<\/strong><\/em> it would only return listings within a 25 square miles area of the <em><strong>empire state building<\/strong><\/em>, or within a radius of about 4 miles.<\/p>\n<h4>Show search distances in miles or km:<strong> \u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>This option will show search result distances in either miles of kilometers.<\/p>\n<h4>If distance is less than 0.01 show distance in meters or feet:<\/h4>\n<p>If distances are less than 1\/100 th of a mile or kilometer, then ticking this option will show the result in feet or meters.<\/p>\n<h4><a id=\"specific\"><\/a>Add location specific text to (Near) search for Google<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>You can\u00a0use this option if your directory is limited to one restricted area\u00a0such as New York or Australia.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Example:<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>If you have a directory for Canada only, you would enter Canada in this field.<\/li>\n<li>That will then restrict a search for London to the city of London in Canada, rather than finding no listings in London in the United Kingdom.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/docs\/core-design\/#how\">Review how the search works here.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><i class=\"fa fa-exclamation-triangle\" style=\"color: red;\"><\/i> Leave this setting blank if you are using default country, regions etc with the multilocation addon; any default locations selected there are\u00a0automatically added to this option.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4><a id=\"individual\"><\/a>Individual word search limit<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>With this option you can limit individual words being searched for, for example searching for &#8220;<b><i><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">on<\/span> <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">the<\/span>\u00a0hill<\/i><\/b>&#8221;\u00a0would return results with words like &#8220;<strong><em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">The<\/span> Spo<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">on<\/span> Shop<\/em><\/strong>&#8220;<strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>or<strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>&#8220;<strong><em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">The<\/span>me parties<\/em><\/strong>&#8221; or<strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>&#8220;<strong><em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">On<\/span>ce up<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">on<\/span> a time<\/em><\/strong>&#8220;<em><strong>.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li>You can exclude these types of short\u00a0words if you wish.<\/li>\n<li>You have three options:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/search1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-17491\" src=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/search1.png\" alt=\"search\" width=\"681\" height=\"175\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/search1.png 681w, https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/search1-300x77.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 681px) 100vw, 681px\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>1 character words excluded:<\/strong> This will ignore any single character being searched, for example if a visitor searches for &#8220;<em><strong>a hairdresser<\/strong><\/em>&#8220;, the search will not return all listings where it finds the letter &#8220;<em><strong>a<\/strong><\/em>&#8220;.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2 character words and less excluded:\u00a0<\/strong>Similarly, for example if a visitor searches for &#8220;<b><i>on a hill<\/i><\/b>&#8220;, the search will not return all listings where it finds the letter\u00a0&#8220;<em><strong>a<\/strong><\/em>&#8221;\u00a0or\u00a0&#8220;<em><strong>on<\/strong><\/em>&#8221;\u00a0within a word.<\/li>\n<li><strong>3 character words and less excluded:<\/strong> Similarly, for example if a visitor searches for\u00a0&#8220;<b><i>on the\u00a0hill<\/i><\/b>&#8220;, the search will not return all listings where it finds the letter combination of\u00a0&#8220;<em><strong>on<\/strong><\/em>&#8221; or\u00a0&#8220;<em><strong>the<\/strong><\/em>&#8221; within a word.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><a id=\"dummy\"><\/a>Dummy Data tab<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-114\" src=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/core-dummy.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"618\" height=\"83\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/core-dummy.png 618w, https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/06\/core-dummy-300x40.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 618px) 100vw, 618px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This step will add a few categories and listings to your site, so you can get a feel of what is possible with your GeoDirectory site. You will be able to delete them later.<br \/>\nOnce your site has loaded the dummy data, an option to delete the data will be available.
