Login to your WordPress Admin<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to the WordPress Admin area of your website.<\/li>\n<li>Navigate to <em><strong>Plugins<\/strong><\/em> &gt;\u00a0 <em><strong>Add New<\/strong><\/em> &gt; and click on <em><strong>Upload<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<img class=\"greenborder\" src=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/08\/addon-upload.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>3. <a id=\"upload\"><\/a>Upload your Addon<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li><em><strong>Browse<\/strong><\/em> for the Addon ZIP file on your computer.<br \/>\n<img class=\"greenborder\" src=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/08\/addon-browse.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Once you selected the ZIP file, click<em><strong> install<\/strong><\/em>.<br \/>\n<img class=\"greenborder\" src=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/08\/addon-install.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>4. <a id=\"activate\"><\/a>Activate your Addon<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Wait for the upload to happen and then <em><strong>activate<\/strong><\/em> your Addon.<br \/>\n<img class=\"greenborder\" src=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/08\/addon-activate.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4><a id=\"settings\"><\/a>5. Review the Addon settings<\/h4>\n<p>As soon the Addon is activated, you will be taken to the Settings page of the new plugin:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"\/docs\/category\/addons\/search-filters\/\">Advanced search filters<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/docs\/category\/addons\/location-manager\/\">MultiLocations<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>6. <a id=\"updates\"><\/a>Auto Updates \/ Licensing<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>To keep your plugins up to date, you need to install the <a href=\"https:\/\/wpeasyupdates.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WP Easy Updates plugin<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Follow steps 3 and 4 above to activate the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wpeasyupdates.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WP Easy Updates plugin<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>You now will be able to add your license for your addon:<br \/>\n<img class=\"greenborder\" src=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/08\/install3.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Click on <em><strong>Licence key<\/strong><\/em> and add your licence:<br \/>\n<img class=\"greenborder\" src=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/08\/install4.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Click on <em><strong>Activate<\/strong><\/em>:<br \/>\n<img class=\"greenborder\" src=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/08\/install5.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<li>To get your licences, go to your download area at\u00a0<em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/your-account\/\">https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/your-account\/<\/a><\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<img class=\"greenborder\" src=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/08\/install2.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<li>In future, your Addons will be able to be updated with a single click, just like any other WordPress plugins.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a id=\"manual\" href=\"#manual\"><\/p>\n<h4>7. Manual Updates<\/h4>\n<p><\/a><\/p>\n<ol>\nWordPress has a built-in feature to install themes and plugins by supplying a zip file. Unfortunately, you cannot upgrade a theme or plugin using the same process. Instead, WordPress will say &#8220;destination already exists&#8221; when trying to upgrade using a zip file and will fail to upgrade the theme or plugin.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/easy-theme-and-plugin-upgrades\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Easy Theme and Plugin Upgrades<\/a> fixes this limitation in WordPress by automatically upgrading the GeoDirectory theme or plugin if it already exists.<\/p>\n<p>To perform a manual upgrade of an addon:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Install and activate <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/easy-theme-and-plugin-upgrades\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Easy Theme and Plugin Upgrades<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Download the addon you want to update from <a href=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/your-account\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/your-account\/<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Visit the plugin page of your site and choose &#8220;Add New&#8221; and then &#8220;Upload Plugin&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>Find the addon file, and choose &#8220;Install&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Next you should see a confirmation like the following:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/08\/Easy-Updates.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/08\/Easy-Updates.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"647\" height=\"290\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-23701\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/08\/Easy-Updates.png 647w, https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/08\/Easy-Updates-300x134.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 647px) 100vw, 647px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4><a id=\"faqs\"><\/a>8. Frequently Asked Questions<\/h4>\n<p><a id=\"update-faq\"><\/a><strong>Why do my automatic updates fail?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Incorrect\/Updated License\/Key<\/strong><br \/>\nIf you purchased a new subscription after your old one expired, your keys will have changed.<br \/>\nGet your license key from <a href=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/your-account\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/your-account\/<\/a>.<br \/>\nCarefully copy and paste into the appropriate license field.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Page Cache Issue<\/strong><br \/>\nIf you copied and pasted the key, but the update still fails, try:<br \/>\n1. Deactivate the key<br \/>\n2. Refresh the plugin page<br \/>\n3. Copy and paste the key again, then Activate<br \/>\n4. After activation, refresh the page again and try the update.<\/p>\n<p>If that still doesn&#8217;t work, you can try a <a href=\"#manual\">manual update<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Review Setup of Automatic Updates<\/strong><br \/>\nFind the setup guide for autoupdates here: <a href=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/installing-addons\/#updates\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/docs\/installing-addons\/#updates<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Double Check Licensing and Membership<\/strong><br \/>\nMake sure your licenses are added at <strong>WordPress > Installed Plugins <\/strong> and that your <a href=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/your-account\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">membership<\/a> is active.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Update Single Site Licenses when Changing Site URL<\/strong><br \/>\nIf you have a single site license, then whenever your site domain changes you will need to update the license for each plugin. For example, you might have been working on a development site at one URL, and now you have moved the site to a new URL. Follow these steps to deactivate the license at the old URL and activate the license at the new URL.<\/p>\n<p>1. Visit the old site at the old URL.<br \/>\n2. Visit the old site plugin page.<br \/>\n3. Find the addon license and click &#8220;Deactivate&#8221;.<br \/>\n4. Visit the new site at the new URL and go to the plugins page.<br \/>\n5. Find the addon license and paste your license code, then press Activate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Update Single Site License for a decommissioned site<\/strong><br \/>\nIt may be that you started working on a site, then changed the URL or deleted or otherwise decommissioned the site. In this case, follow these steps:<\/p>\n<p>1. Visit <a href=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/your-account\/purchase-history\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/your-account\/purchase-history\/<\/a><br \/>\n2. Select \u201cView Licences\u201d for the product.<br \/>\n3. Select \u201cManage Sites\u201d<br \/>\n4.
