Put the two together on a normal page and you have an offers page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Add the Special Offers field<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Go to Places &gt; Settings &gt; Custom Fields and add Special Offers from the Predefined Fields list, if it is not there already. Listing owners can then enter their offer on the add listing form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Build the page<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Create a new page, for example &#8220;Latest offers&#8221;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add a GD &gt; Listings block (or widget or shortcode).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tick &#8220;Only show listings with special offers?&#8221;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set Sort by to Latest or Recently Updated, and set Posts to show and pagination to suit.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a shortcode:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-prismatic-blocks\"><code class=\"language-markup\">&#091;gd_listings post_type=&#039;gd_place&#039; show_special_only=&#039;1&#039; sort_by=&#039;post_modified_desc&#039; post_limit=&#039;12&#039; with_pagination=&#039;1&#039;&#093;<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Latest sorts by when the listing was published and Recently Updated by when it was last edited. GeoDirectory does not keep a separate date for the offer itself, so Recently Updated is usually the closer match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Show the offer text in each card<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By default each card shows the listing&#8217;s normal archive item. To show the offer instead of (or as well as) the description, make a page to use as a custom archive item template and include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-prismatic-blocks\"><code class=\"language-markup\">&#091;gd_post_meta key=&#039;special_offers&#039; show=&#039;value&#039;&#093;<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then in the GD &gt; Listings block, set Archive Item Template Type to Page and pick that page.
