Visitors leave one from the Reviews tab on a listing page, where the review form sits below the existing reviews. If the form isn&#8217;t there, comments are closed for that listing or post type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Check comments are open<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Post type: go to Places &gt; Settings &gt; General and make sure Disable comments is not ticked. (Disable ratings removes the stars but keeps the comment form.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The listing: edit it and, in the Discussion box, tick Allow comments. If you can&#8217;t see the box, turn it on under Screen Options at the top of the edit screen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>WordPress: Settings &gt; Discussion &gt; Allow people to submit comments on new posts only affects listings created after you change it. Listings added while it was off stay closed until you open them.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To open comments on many listings at once, open the Places list in wp-admin, tick the listings, choose Edit from Bulk actions, set Comments to Allow and click Update.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other reasons the form is hidden<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Only logged-in users see the form if Users must be registered and logged in to comment is ticked at Settings &gt; Discussion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>With Single review ticked at Places &gt; Settings &gt; General, a user who has already reviewed a listing can&#8217;t add another review to it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The form doesn&#8217;t show on pending or draft listings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the Reviews tab was removed at Places &gt; Settings &gt; Tabs, add it back, or place the <a href=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/documentation\/article\/core-widgets\/gd-single-reviews\/\">GD &gt; Single Reviews<\/a> block on your details page template.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To stop reviews on some listings on purpose, see <a href=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/documentation\/article\/how-tos\/how-to-disable-comments-on-a-listing\/\">How to Disable Comments on a Listing?<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GeoDirectory reviews are WordPress comments with a star rating.
