You can ignore the reminder in the Google Cloud console.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The maps need a working API key, and billing must be enabled on the Google Cloud project that owns it. Add the key at GeoDirectory &gt; Settings &gt; General, in the <em>Google Maps API KEY<\/em> field under Map Settings. <a href=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/documentation\/article\/installation\/get-a-google-api-key\/\">Get a Google API Key<\/a> walks through creating one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Maps load but show no markers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the map appears but shows no listings, check these in order:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Billing is enabled on the Google Cloud project that owns the key.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The listings have a category. Markers use the category icon.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your browser console has no JavaScript errors. An error from another plugin or the theme can stop the map script before it adds the markers. Turn plugins off one at a time to find it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leave the API key field empty to switch to OpenStreetMap as a test.
