Older versions (GeoDirectory v1) had Tweet, Facebook Like and Google+ buttons in the details sidebar, but those were removed in v2. If you see share buttons on your listings today, they come from your theme or a sharing plugin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Remove share buttons<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Look in your theme options and in any social or sharing plugin you have active. Most sharing plugins let you choose which post types show the buttons, so you can switch them off for Places and other GeoDirectory post types.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The default archive item template does show small Facebook, Twitter and website badges on listings that have those fields filled in. Those link to the business&#8217;s own profiles, not share links. To remove them, edit the page set as <em>Archive item page<\/em> at GeoDirectory &gt; Settings &gt; General &gt; Pages and delete the badges you do not want.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Add share buttons<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Install any WordPress sharing plugin that gives you a shortcode or block. Then add it to your listing template:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to GeoDirectory &gt; Settings &gt; General &gt; Pages and open the page set as <em>Details Page<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the sharing plugin&#8217;s block or shortcode where you want the buttons, for example below the images.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Update the page. Every listing uses this template, so the buttons appear on all of them.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can also add the plugin&#8217;s widget to the sidebar your theme uses on listing pages.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GeoDirectory does not add social share buttons to listing pages.
