Blocks and badges read that value, for example the Featured badge in the default archive item template and the &#8220;Show featured only?&#8221; option in GD &gt; Listings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Add the Featured field<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to Places &gt; Settings &gt; Custom Fields (use the matching menu for your other post types).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Look for Featured in the list of fields on the form. If it is not there, add it from the Predefined Fields list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Save the field.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Featured is an admin only field by default, so visitors filling in the add listing form do not see it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Feature a listing by hand<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Edit the listing in wp-admin.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tick &#8220;Is Featured?&#8221; with the other listing fields.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Update the listing.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Feature listings through a paid package<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the Pricing Manager add-on, a package can make its listings featured. Pricing Manager treats a package as featured when the Featured field is available on that package, and listings paid for on it are saved as featured when the field&#8217;s default value is ticked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To limit this to your featured packages, either set &#8220;Show only on these price packages&#8221; in the Featured field settings, or add Featured to &#8220;Exclude Fields&#8221; in the settings of every package that should not include it. See <a href=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/documentation\/article\/pricing-manager-extension\/how-to-add-a-new-pricing-package\/\">How to add a new pricing package<\/a> for the other package settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Show featured listings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In <a href=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/documentation\/article\/core-widgets\/gd-listings\/\">GD &gt; Listings<\/a>, tick &#8220;Show featured only?&#8221; to list only featured listings, for example in a block on your home page.
