<\/span>You can create a Custom Post Type for listings without addresses<\/strong>.<\/span><\/div>\n\n\n\n
<\/span>You will need the Location Manager<\/strong> and Custom Post Type<\/strong> extensions.<\/span><\/div>\n\n\n\n

There are two different options for this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Option 1 (remove all address data)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
<\/span>This option is best if none of your listings in the CPT require an address.<\/span><\/div>\n\n\n\n

To remove address fields<\/strong> for one of your Custom Post Types:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Go to your Custom Post Type<\/strong>, for example Places<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Select Settings<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Go to the General<\/strong> tab<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Open the Advanced Settings<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Tick the Disable physical location box<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
    <\/span>This cannot be reversed!<\/strong> If you already have address data for listings it will ALL BE DELETED<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Option 2 (make address inputs optional)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    <\/span>This option is best if you have mixed listings where some require an address and others don’t. You also have the option for a Private Address<\/a><\/span><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    In your CPT custom field settings under Places > Settings > Custom Fields<\/strong>;
    Select the Address<\/strong> field and uncheck<\/strong> the “required”<\/strong> option. This will allow users to add as much or as little address information as they want eg: Leave out the street but add the city info.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
