\n\t This setup guide will run through a typical setup of the Social Importer<\/a> extension from start to finish.<\/section>\n

Overview<\/h2>\n

\n\t The Social Importer<\/a> extension lets you import information from social sites such as Facebook, Yelp and Tripadvisor simply by entering the page URL. For services such as Tripadvisor, you do not need to even setup an API key — we utilize Direct URL Parsing <\/strong>to import information. <\/p>\n

\n\tSocial Importer works perfectly with any Facebook post, and can import information such as Title, Description, Business Hourse, Address (GPS), Videos, Images, Contact Info (Phone, Email), and a lot more!<\/p>\n

Installation<\/h2>\n

\n\t The first step<\/strong> if you haven’t already, is to install the Social Importer extension.<\/strong> This can be done by following our guides on how to install an extension.<\/a><\/p>\n

Step 1 – Settings<\/h2>\n

Once installed and activated<\/strong>, you can find the Social Importer settings at GeoDirectory > Settings > Social Importer<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

\n\tSocial Importer extension comes with sane defaults<\/strong> meaning the default settings will work for the majority of users<\/strong>, however, there are many customizations that can be done via the settings, for a full explanation of what all the settings do please see the Settings Overview docs in this section.<\/section>\n

Step 2 – Setting up the Social Services<\/h2>\n

\n\tSocial Importer supports three major services — Facebook, Yelp <\/strong>and Tripadvisor. <\/strong>You can setup each of these to work with Social Importer by following the guidelines in these docs: <\/p>\n
