This is how it works:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Each <strong>Country <\/strong>can have one or multiple <strong>Regions,<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><\/strong><strong><\/strong>Each <strong>Region <\/strong>in turn can have one or multiple <strong>Cities,&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><\/strong><strong><\/strong><strong><\/strong>Each <strong>City <\/strong>can be sub-divided into <strong>Neighbourhoods.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n  As such, when you add a new location, you need to specify its country, region and city.<br \/>\n\t\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<section class=\"alert alert-info\">\n\t <strong>There is no need to add a location manually.<\/strong> When you add a new listing, <strong>locations are added automatically,<\/strong> if they do not already exist.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n  If, however, you wish to add locations in advance, here is how to do it.<br \/>\n\t\n<\/div>\n<h2>Adding a New Location Manually<\/h2>\n<dl>\n<dt>\n\t1\n\t<\/dt>\n<dd>\n\tFirst, head on to <strong>Settings &gt; Locations (tab) &gt; <a href=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/documentation\/article\/location-manager\/settings-overview-for-locations-add-location\/\">Add Location (sub-tab)<\/a>. <\/strong> <strong><br \/>\n\t<\/strong> <\/dd>\n<dt>\n\t2\n\t<\/dt>\n<dd>\n\tNext, you need to specify the name of <strong>City, Region <\/strong>and then choose the <strong>Country. <\/strong>Note that you can click <strong>&#8220;See Address on Map&#8221; <\/strong>button to view the location on the map right away.<\/p>\n<section class=\"alert alert-info\">\n<p> <strong>Drag and drop the map marker to auto set the correct details.<\/strong> <\/section>\n<\/dd>\n<p><img width=\"599\" height=\"430\" src=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/documentation\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/file-gkC2HGhsi2.png\" class=\"attachment-large size-large\" alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/documentation\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/file-gkC2HGhsi2.png 599w, https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/documentation\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/file-gkC2HGhsi2-300x215.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 599px) 100vw, 599px\" \/><\/p>\n<dt>\n\t3\n\t<\/dt>\n<dd>\n\tThe <strong>Latitude and Longitude <\/strong>details are automatically filled if the location is valid. You may then specify details such as <strong>Meta Title, Meta Description, Location Description, Featured Image <\/strong>and <strong>Tagline <\/strong>for your new location.<br \/>\n\t\n\t<\/dd>\n<p>\t<img width=\"539\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/documentation\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/file-YYS2Nhzscy.png\" class=\"attachment-large size-large\" alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/documentation\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/file-YYS2Nhzscy.png 539w, https:\/\/wpgeodirectory.com\/documentation\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/file-YYS2Nhzscy-274x300.png 274w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 539px) 100vw, 539px\" \/><\/p>\n<dt>\n\t4\n\t<\/dt>\n<dd>\n\tOnce done, simply click <strong>Save Location <\/strong>button.&nbsp;That&#8217;s all, you have successfully added a new location. You can repeat this process for all your locations.&nbsp;<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<div>\n  At this point, you have added only a city-specific location.
