After an update from geodirectory, this function is no longer available on desktop and mobile.

When I log in as administrator, the function is there and everything is as before.

If I make a new registration and then log in, the function is not there.

Best regards
Andreas

Just come across a small issue I’m having in the Elementor designer again.

I’ve added the Closed Now / Open Now business hours meta data to the place archive item I’ve created in Elementor. The element works fine in the archive pages using the ‘Archive Posts’ widget. It allows the user to click the arrow and open a list of the places hours. Example here:
https://whatsonhub.com/places/category/restaurants/united-kingdom/east-riding-of-yorkshire/

However, when using the same skin in the GD Listings widget at the bottom of a details page, that business hours element is holding the hours list open instead of being hidden. No button appears either to allow the user to close it. You can see this under ‘Nearby Restaurants’ on this page for example:
https://whatsonhub.com/events/united-kingdom/east-riding-of-yorkshire/the-woman-in-black-18

Can you please help?

Thanks,
Dave

thanks. New trial!

In the mobile view there is no option to switch a listing «temporarily closed» on or off. I can’t see/find it!

This function (to switch a listing «temporarily closed») is only possible on my desktop. I can switch the function «on» and «off».

Best regards
Andreas

Is it also possible to use tags, as discussed in this thread?
https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/shortcode-for-gd-listings-sorted-by-custom-fields/

So i can add a tag “Online available” in those listings and then use gd_listings shortcode to filter that?

But i dont understand what is a tag “Title” and what is the “slug” – isnt tag just a word/phrase without spaces?

thanks, Vivek

GD Listings is a query builder that can return many search results, but, not all, and there isn’t a shortcode specifically for returning search results.

What you can do with GD Listings is create a sort that orders by your custom field, then show the first N of that query.

Eg I have a CPT>Category as Tutors>Physics Tutors, and I have a custom field “Online classes available?” (key: online_classes) which is set Yes/No.

In search bar i can set the cpt/category and select the custom field and get search results.

However, I want to show these results not as a search results page, but as part of another non-GD page – just the listings, not the full search page (NOTE – i do not want a user search term input, it is just basis custom field value)

This could be done using gd_listing shortcode also,if i was able to use custom field as a parameter in the shortcode as [gd_listings cpt= gd_tutors category=”Physics” online_classes=”Yes”]

Any suggestions on how i can achieve this?

thanks,
Vivek
