A Few Setup Questions (Feature Image, Social Media & SIdebar)

Hi,

I have a few questions:

1. How do I set up a slider image show for a listing like the demo for Crosby Street Hotel? I have uploaded a couple of photos but they are only showing in Photos tab.

2. Is there any plans to add more social media categories such as Instagram or Pinterest?

3. The theme I am using is a Genesis Child Theme which has a sidebar which I use. However, with this plugin, my child theme sidebar doesn’t show up on directory page. (I am not using this plugin on my homepage). I’m planning to use Passionfruit Ads to manage ads which I will embed in my sidebar. Is there a way that the sidebar can be removed off the directory pages?

Hi Reena and welcome 🙂

#1. This should happen automatically, it could be a few reasons why it’s not, it could be a JS error or maybe the price package is restricting the number of images. Please post a link to your site and i will check, if you can also post wp-admin details in a private reply (tick box below) then i will be able to see the reply but no one else.

#2. These can be added manually under Place Settings> URL

#3. I am not 100% sure what you are asking here, can you be more specific?

Hi,
The Genesis compatibility plugin adds the correct HTML wrappers to GD content and GD sidebars.
GD pages will only show the sidebar that is attached to their pages – they won’t bring in other sidebars.
It is best if you add your sidebar widgets to the GD sidebars – so add the Passionfruit Ads widget to each GD sidebar you want to show it in.

Hi Reena,

It there is no JS errors showing but i am guessing it is a JS conflict, please try disabling all non GD plugins and check it works, if it does try activating them one by one until it breaks and then you will know what plugin it is.

The plugin it’s having problems with is Genesis Responsive Slider by StudioPress.
