I have a problem with GD Booster and updating plugin on my WP website.

When i get any notification for any plugin update and i try to do the update while GD Booster is enabled it freezes in the downloading plugin stage and it didn’t continue with reactivating the updated plugin (It is actually updating the plugin but not continuing to reactivate the plugin).

Then i have to go back to the plugins section and activate the plugin manually.

Any idea what is causing that and how to sort out.

how do you know the problem is caused by GD Booster? Did you try to update an addon with GD Booster disabled and it worked?

I just tested on one of my website with GD Booster on and it worked just fine…
DId you update a large list of plugins all together? Because they are downloaded from different locations, I normally 1st update GD core and any other wordpress plugin that are updated via wordpress.org all together, than I update all the addons.

Thanks for getting back to me.

It happens when updating any wordpress plugin not just GD plugins.

I know it is GD booster as i tried with GD booster enabled and i have the problem and when GD booster disabled i can update any plugin without any problem.

I am updating the plugins one at a time no bulk updates.

It is allowing the updates normally but it gets stuck after downloading and updating and not reactivating the plugin automatically as it should be and i have to navigate to the plugins back and activate it manually.

Hope that clarifies the issue a little bit.

I just tested in 3 of our tests website in different servers (one with nginx, 1 with apache and mediatemple grid).

All websites with GD-Booster active and enabled and I updated both some GD addons and other plugins and never experienced any problem.

To debug we will need URL wp admin and FTP credentials as it seems to be a problem specific to your install.
