ok so:

1) which is the widget pace on the right side of this page? http://www.cotswoldalluredirectory.co.uk/register/

2) since using buddypress registration system to get the extra info of “business” or “public” user… the email notifications I’ve been getting for new registered users aren’t including what they were including before:

its just saying:

any ideas of how to get the original detailed notifications with the buddypress plugin?

also, on the register page now, before using buddypress registration to get extra information, geodirectory has a “login” or “register” option on the same page.

now with buddypress there is only a “register” option and no login option on that page

how can i get a “login” option on there for people who already have accounts?

I need a reply soon because my site is live and active with people registering as we speak… And the registration page looks rubbish at the moment, with no login option either…

I must admit im not happy and really surprised with having to use buddypress, and have all of its features switched off, just to get extra information from people on registration… It’s a huge bulky unnecessary plugin… Being able to add Extra fields on the registration process is something GeoDirectory should have covered surely?!

Hi,

1) the widget area for buddypress page is probably your regular page sidebar.

2) Using a different registration tool, you get a different notification.

3) Now with buddypress installed there is only the login form, not the other way around.

4) add Extra fields on the registration process can be done with buddypress other plugins too. It is not something GeoDirectory offers and wasn’t requested by many members, reason why we invest our time doing things that are more important for the majority of users.

How much would you charge to just add a couple of extra fields on my site on the Geo Directory registration form?

– Business User checkbox.
– Public User checkbox.
– Current Location textbox.

Im trying the “Cimy User Extra Fields” plugin, but it doesn’t seem to be adding anything.

The buddypress registration page looks rubbish compared to the GeoDirectory register page so I’m not interested in buddypress

David, you can use BuddyPress to fully customise your registration fields, and use the BuddyPress – GeoDirectory integration plugin to make it all seamless.
