I’m suddenly experiencing difficulty with the menu. Two updates have recently taken place – an update to latest BuddyPress version, and I’ve also recently received notification from the provider of my test servers that they have updated MySQL.

Everything was fine until I came to update the menu. Firstly, the “Main Menu” check box at the bottom of the Appearance>Menu page automatically became unchecked. Secondly, no matter how many times I add and save them, the BuddyPress menu items will not save and display.

I’ve deactivated GeoDirectory, it doesn’t appear to be related to this problem.

I don’t think the issue coincides with the latest GDF update – I can’t remember if I’ve updated to menu since then.

I know this is most likely related to either BuddyPress/MySQL, or a combination of the two, but if anyone else is experiencing this issue you aren’t alone!

If anyone has any advice I’d love to hear it! Thank you!

PS. I’ve reinstalled the previous version of BuddyPress and the problem remains. My thoughts are that the issue lays with MySQL? I don’t know, I’m not experienced enough in these things!
