basically if you want to add someone without going through the claim listing process, you should 1st assign him author role.

Not sure it is the “intended” way or if this was overlooked.

In GT we forced admins to set new role for registered user to author to avoid having to manually assign author roles one by one in similar cases.

I’ll ask Stiofan and VIkas about it…
