I am a designer not a programmer and I’m going to get someone to make code changes for me soon, not dissimilar to the changes mentioned in this thread

I just wondered whether there is any benefit to making changes in grandchild theme or if working in GDF Modern for all changes is ok? I’ve heard of people using a hierarchy system for customisation but I don’t really understand the benefit but obviously I would rather get things right at the start.

Secondly are the GeoDirectory people available for custom work or should I outsource elsewhere?
