i have had trouble with this from the beginning, but its still not resolved.

The client wants to add a new listing. He enters the address in the address column and after clicking it – it works. Sometimes. The google address autocompleter finds the correct address, but sometimes the region is not displayed and its just “searching” for it without any success. This is weird because it works for some streets in the same city and for some not. If he enters it manually (the dropdown options disappear), then the city disappears and he has to enter it manually too.

I was told, that i should disable the “Google address autocomplete”, which I did. Okay, the client enters his address, his region and his city. Now the marker isnt aligned properly on the map. Its in the default location. So the client moves the marker to the correct position and he clicks on “set address on map” and ouuuch, the region disappears again. He has to manually rewrite it. When he does that, then the city disappears! He has to rewrite it manually. Then its all set, but he cant click the “set address on map”, because it will once again delete the region. So he has to enter everything manually (including the location on map) in a reversed order uhm.

What should I do? Its kinda annoying really 🙁 Is there some work around? Could this be fixed somehow?

I am assuming you are using the latest versions of all GD plugins?

Normally, if you use the marker to locate, and wait for the region etc to be populated, then there’s no need to click Set address on map.
That is only necessary if you choose region etc from the lists and then want the marker to be set.

thanks for your answer. I updated the site (i couldnt update the review manager and advanced filters, the versions on theme tailors arent up to date) but its still the same. I tried the same address on the demo site here and its the same problem.

Do you think that its doable? I mean if it can be even fixed…
