Custom Field Icons

I’m building an organic/sustainable food database. I need to allow users to choose if they are organic certified or sustainable. I see I can do this from the Custom Fields using the “Select” dropdown option. However, I would like the icon to match the option they choose. Is there a way to assign a different icon for each option within said “Select” field? Additionally, if there is a better way to go about this please share. 🙂

Update: I can’t use the “Select” field option (when I make it required, it doesn’t recognize that I made a choice from the dropdown). Just keeps telling me it is a required field and I have to make a choice, even though I did choose.

I can use the radio buttons instead. I don’t know if this changes how to implement my initial request above for unique icons for each option.

Also, I would love to know if I can make the field below this one appear on the fly if they choose Organic Certified, or just make it required. If they choose Organic, the field below it should appear or become required so they have to enter who they’re certified through. If they choose Sustainable, the field can remain hidden or not required.

Hi Lindsay, you can only assign one icon per field.
Anything else would require changing the coding etc.
You should be able to use make a SELECT field required, it should not give you an error.
I’ll forward your question to the developers.

Hey there! Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I actually like the radio buttons better, but it doesn’t seem to get me any further with a unique icon. I’ll have to figure that out. I would still like to know if the form can be made dynamic (see my 2nd post above).

Hi,

currently the system was built to use 1 icon per custom field.

If many members +1 the idea, we will look into it.

Hi, sorry I didn’t read the second question. Currently there is no option for dynamic fields.

You’d need a customization of the plugin for that. Not a simple one and quick to do… Again if many members start giving +1 to this idea too, we will look into it’s development ourself.
