is it possible to show different advanced search fields show depending on the category i’m viewing.

for example, i have 2 categories: schools and museums

i want “age” and “grade” to show under schools
and “artist” and “exposition” when viewing the /places/museums

right now whether i’m under places/schools or places/museums the search filters are the same. (shows all 4)

There is also some confusion – when i’m on places/schools and think that i’m searching for schools(not advanced, but a regular search), it actually returns results from ALL of my categories, and not schools only…. did i miss a setting somewhere?

You should have schools and museums as separate custom post types.
