Was wondering if there would be a sensible palce to offer a service to gather data for people wanting to populate directories?
Works kinda similar to the yelp plugin you ahve as part of GD but also does a load of other sites to find busiensses that would benefit from being in the directory i am making

I have developed a few different scrapers to gather data from places like Facebook, Yellow Pages Manta.com etc
Think it might be useful to some people if they want to runa directory as i am plannign to do by populating first then contacting the business owner to ask them to claim the listing.

Im still hashing out the individual bits at the moment (like translating town to region ) and some other import related queries but i should have a fully working system fairly soon.

from what i have found so far there is not such a thing available.

I have built custom scripts and exporters to create the file.
specifically the requirements for import into gd means no existing tool provides everythign you need. you have to convert and modify quite a few fields

I can provide it as a service if you have a target market which can be foudn by location and a keyword.
