Obviously then this will only continue to grow larger over time, and is also confusing if a user sees “Events (25)” but only 2 are listed.

I’m seeing this on the Popular Categories Widget listing…not sure if it shows up elsewhere.

This also lead to the thought about archiving and deleting. Not sure if there is anything in the system today, but it might be useful for a setting in the backend for the admin that would allow for automatic purging based on a time setting, as well as perhaps an event level setting to make an event sticky (non-purging) for it to still show up under past events.
