Excerpt length for related listings on Detail Page inconsistent

Hi Vikas,

If the character count for the related posts excerpt length is left blank then not much gets printed in the excerpt.

This is inconsistent with the character count in the View Posts widget where a blank value prints the whole excerpt.

How can I print the_excerpt() – (I want the “Read More” link that the_excerpt() provides)

Ok, with Related Listings, I can get the whole excerpt by setting the character count to greater than the excerpt length.

That actually works better than the View Posts widget, but it would still be good if it was consistent?

Hi,

Plz find attached zip, extract it and upload custom_functions.php in geodirectory > geodirectory-functions folder using FTP.
This should make things consistent when excerpt length field is left blank.
