I’ve got a wee problem when Booster is active, it seems to be adding some text, in the form of ‘–>’, above my adwords ads and a js script in the footer, I’ve added some images and the code generated by booster below.

I’ve tried to figure out what’s causing it, but can’t get to the bottom of it.

Can you take a look for me.

Site and login credentials in next message.

Thanks in advance, Craig

there is a setting down at the bottom where you enable disable GD Booster:

To verify that GD Booster is working…

You needed to set that to : No I don’t want my source code to contain any of these notes.

That fixes the problem when logged in, but there seem to be another cache somewhere that we can’t clean out, because as logged out users the notes are still visible, even if I disable gd booster.

Just a little advise… that website look very very nice, it is a shame it is as slow, but I fear that no caching plugin will ever make it as fast as it would deserve to be.

You have far too many plugins, some of them alone are enough to slow down any websites. (Ubermenu above all).

Whatever wordfance and wanguard do, can be achieved with gd recaptcha. Removing a lot of extra stress on your poor server.

Long story short, I would try to remove at least half of the plugins you have for the sake of your project, or I fear your bounce rate will be very high.

Thanks

It seem’s to be working fine now when logged out, must have been the nginx fastcgi cache that was causing the problem for you, anyway sorted now.

Are you aware of any issues running fastcgi and booster together, looks like they are ok, just wanted to check.

Thanks for the advice regarding the plugins, I’ve already decided to code a css only nav menu and get rid of ubermenu, it is a resource hog.

I get the site to load in about 3.5s with isn’t too bad, were you seeing very long load times?

Wanguard and wordfence are just there to add extra security to my site, my site has been hacked a couple of times and Wordfence acts as a firewall / security plugin, it works great with little overhead. I’ll probably replace wanguard with your new gd recapcha plugin, sounds good.

As for the rest, most are very light weight and well coded, they don’t impact load time too much, but I’m always looking at alternatives and will probably try and code something specific to my site to reduce any overheads.

Thanks for the advice

This server is setup like that.

Thanks
