Using Genesis with the geo1280 child theme.

Under GeoDirectory > Design … I’ve turned off all sidebars and set the main content area to 100% but that’s not happening. Am I missing something?

See attached for current settings (screenshot-homepage-layout.jpg) and screenshot of home page display (screenshot-homepage-layout2.jpg).

Thanks in advance for the quick response!

Are you talking in the “theme compatibility” section?

If so, I thought since I was using YOUR theme it’s 100% compatible with Genesis?

Should I be choosing “Genesis” “Genesis_custom” or “Select theme” in this section. When I try and select “Genesis” it seems to revert to “Genesis_custom”.

Also, am I supposed to fill in all the ID’s and classes on this page? Seems like a pain for something that’s supposed to be “compatible”

Is there anyone else who has completed this? Seems like you should have that available to everyone since you’ve provided the import/export buttons.

I know you get a LOT of questions but a little more clarification would be appreciate Simon.

Many themes (such avada) have their settings for the layout.
I don’t have a Genesis copy to test so I can’t really tell. You could leave your URL and login details in a private reply so we will check it out.

Not with all themes the design options of the plugin will have the desired effects, especially for themes where theme comaptibility code is necessary.

Because we are removing our won wrappers and using theirs. In this case Genesis.

The only way to do what you want to do, is to add the sidebar back and do this with css instead.

I’ve done most of it already.

To answer to your other question, as far as I know this child theme only supports 1 menu.

Thanks

Can you tell me what you did so I know exactly where you left off and what I need to do?

Thanks again

I went to GeoDirectory >> design >> home and added the sidebar back.

Than I went to GeoDirectory >> design >> script and added some custom css.

Let me know if this is enough information.

Thanks
