I’d like to set up the search map in a way that when a new visitors enter the website, the search map on the top section can show the closest places to them.

however, I only get the map to show the whole country and visitors cannot know whether or not they have places close to them unles they make a manual search.

Is there a way to implement it though wpgeodirectry addons?

I would like to see the map zoomed in the closest locations to my visitors, however the closest locations in the map get to include places from cities around them… not the 50 km or so that I set in the gd settings.

So yes, it works, but not as I thought it would. However I think it is a limitation of the plugin rather than a bad configuration.

A location page will only show locations in that city, and auto-zoom to display all listings on the map.
The radius or sq miles search settings are only relevant for search pages, no other pages.
