A new installation with dummy content.
The media upload works ok everywhere except in place form.

In place form isn’t possible upload or manage any image.

I revised this: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/cant-upload-images-any-longer/ but I haven’t any plugin more.

Any suggestion?

in WordPress Settings >> Media, do you have “Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders” enabled? That is a must.

If yes, we would have to check your website, would you please provide a URL and wp admin credentials in a private reply?
