I’m right in the middle of trying to rebuild a website using GeoDirectory and so far I’m quite impressed.

The task I’m currently struggling with is importing several thousand records from the old site in to GeoDirectory.

I do not have latitude and longitude fields in the original site as I integrated with Google maps using postcodes along – which for UK locations (all my record are in the UK) works fine.

So I’m a bit stumped as to how to import all my records. I can’t manually input the longitude and latitude fields for every single record.

What would you recommend please?

Regards,

Jamie

Let us know how you went.

Guess I’ll just have to leave it for an hour or 5.

PS: no idea why you’d want an ATOM file …
You will need to copy the lat and lng into your CSV file.

I have now successfully retrieved all the lats and longs by using the batch tool recommended in the documentation. Just had to do them 300 at a time! It seems to run ok to start but then slows down to a snails pace.
