my first thought was to try to use a WP Multisite network and somehow try to achieve the subsites sharing places/events tables. and/or a mysql trigger update for tables

then I wondered about an RSS feed / autoblog syndication

or simply doing an iframe embed on the other sites

any suggestion on what approach might work?
