There is a way to fit vertical featured image in horizontal homepage grid ?

All our listings have vertical image and the featured images are cutted to fit the box. Please can we help us to fit featured image without crop or cut.

In another site we have used css object-fit, but here does not work.

We are populating the site in these days and we need help before populate. Thanks in advance and best regards
