Is there a way to override this, so that mobile users see the home page (where we provide information regarding the site)?

Or am I missing a setting somewhere?

To avoid that and see your static page, you need to disable the “GeoDirectory Share Location plugin”.

Sorry about that, however this is in the to-do list so in the near future it will be possible to have this option.
