When I try to setup new category I am asked for a category icon and after I select one I get a white screen – I have tried even selecting one of the icons in use, I have set up a png and jpg correct icon size pic but on both place and event I get the same white screen.

I am able to come out of the white screen but without an image it looks like I cannot set up the new category.

I have set up a completely fresh install and loaded my theme and GD – this time I did not install demo data and I am able to set up new categories with out any problems…

Deactivating, and even deleting all the files of the plugin is not good enough. You need to do a new install. So to avoid this: DO NOT load dummy data!
