I got a fresh install of GeoDirectory with its addons, my GD permalinks structure looks like this: places/switzerland/vaud/nyon/C/attractions/info/the-liberty-bell-center/.

I would like to shorten it to this: Vaud/nyon/museum/the-liberty-bell-center/, where Vaud is the state, Nyon is the town and the-liberty-bell-center is the place.

Can you please advise on how to setup this?

You can remove Categories from permalink.
Follow these steps. Go to
Geodirectory > Permalink > Un Check [] Add category in listing urls

This setting will remove C and Category name from URL. Info word will remain there but u can shorten that to as per ur choice, make sure that when u change word ‘Info’, it will not get conflicted with any other post title or City name.

I got very excited from an SEO point of view when I read in the features list that “Here you can setup the most flexible SEO prettylink ever seen in a Directory plugin”. Maybe it is the most flexible (I haven’t checked out anyone else yet) but it’s still doesn’t suit my SEO needs. Can I put in a feature request to be able to remove these elements? Other than this, the features so far rock.
