The one problem that we have not been able to solve, and it is pretty critical, is that I cannot get in the Customizer – – Appearance > Customizer. It is like I am locked out.

I tried disabling all plugins, clearing my cache, activating the parent theme (I am using a child theme). Nothing seems to work. The theme authors have not been able to figure this out either.

The reason why I am asking for help is this last snippet that I rec’d from theme support as follows:

Or do you have any plugin/widget/script that is activated on home page that provide different content for each visitor, or for each country? Could you try removing your widgets for now?

Further, they detected some errors on the console http://prntscr.com/5lhtqa .

I don’t know if this is related to my Change Location problem: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/change-location-linkbutton-broken/ as part of this @stiofan implied something was modified with the compatibility pack (I have not made any changes).

So I was wondering if you could help me fix this or tell me how to “disable” the script/widgets that they have asked about. Can this be done without wrecking my site?

Here is the latest message from X-Theme support. Do you think that when I updated X that is could have messed with the GD compatibility file (I am assuming from your previous comments that something has changed) and do you think that this could have messed with this Thickbox thingy???

Do you think this is a correct diagnosis of the problem?

If I have to re-install WP I have a buttom on my dashboard to Re-install. Is it as easy just pushing the button? I have never done this.

X-Theme Support Message:
There is a javascript issue triggering from modal library ( Thickbox 3.1 ), this is wordpress core library. It’s located at wp-includes/js/thickbox/thickbox.js

X is dependent to that library which is why it only happens when X theme is activated, because that library is activated along with it.

The issue is that, that library comments messing up with other script. Please check this screenshot: (screenshot attached – tried to past URL below)

then check // move elements back when you’re finished comment in grey color. This is not happening on my setup. So you may need to re-install your wordpress. Or download this script and overwrite your existing wp-includes/js/thickbox/thickbox.js

The original library contains line breaks after comment line, so not sure why it’s on same line at your end.
