I’m still feeling my around GD and trying to become familiar with the GD pages by creating sample pages to test etc.

This sounds totally stupid, but how do I create a search, detail or author page? The home and listings pages were created but I don’t see the others.

Please direct me.

all the pages are automatically created.
-The search page appears when a search is done, and in it you can add widget (you will find the Search section in the widget page, in Appearance/Widgets).
A search can be done from any other page, using the GD Search widget.

-Detail pages are automatically created when you submit a listing, and as per the search page, you can add widgets in the detail page.

– Author page same as above 🙂 you’ll find the link in the GD > Loginbox widget

One more: Adding widgets to pages? I’m familiar with adding widgets to sidebars, footers etc., but not to pages. Is there documentation explaining how to do what you mention above, adding the GD Search widget to other pages?

You can obviously place the GD widget in any other “normal” page, where a widget area is set, such as sidebars or footer area

I had found that documentation on the layout. I was just confused on using the GD widgets on other “pages.” Perhaps it’s a question of terminology. I don’t think of a sidebar or footer as a “page.”

I will experiment and work with the features more. I’m sure there will be other questions.

I see the code of ‘aside#geodir-sidebar.geodir-sidebar-right’. Just not sure how to attach a sidebar widget to this.
