Remove time field on new listing form

Hi,

Is it possible to remove the time field under GD > Place Settings > Custom Fields > List of fields on listing form?

On my directory I would really like to create a new custom field for time so that I can assign it to a tab of it’s own on the details page rather than have it appear under ‘More Info’.

I’ve tried clicking the X to delete it but it won’t delete. Is that normal? I’m just wondering why the X would be there if it doesn’t work for default field removal.

Hello, you can disable the field by setting it to “No” where it says “Is Active” (see attach)

Actually, if you don’t mind a follow up question while on the subject of custom fields:

Can you please explain a little more about the HTML variable name. I see it must be a ‘unique name’ and that raises a question for me.

If I have the same custom field such as the ‘time’ field mentioned above in all of my custom post type settings can I use the same html variable name ‘timing’ for all of them? Or do I need to change that for each CPT such as ‘timing’, ‘timing_1’, ‘timing_2’ etc.

Hope that makes sense! Just trying to fully understand what you mean by ‘must be a unique name’

That is correct, you could call it timing_cpt_name.
