I set up a site to have people select just categories and see all listings under that category (the categories are city names and that way companies can say they offer services in multiple cities).

Everything worked perfectly prior to the last update and when I did a search with just the category field on http://canadianroofers.com then it would show all of the listings on the map which fit that category.

Since I updated the plugins however, now when you do a search for just a category it appends the default city as the location (Toronto, the parameters showing are snear=Toronto&sgeo_lat=43.653226&sgeo_lon=-79.38318429999998) How can I get the location specific part of the search removed? All I want to see is every listing for a specific category as it would before the update?

Thanks for your help.

Peter

Thanks,

Stiofan

I actually hid it using css so I’m not sure which file these details are in. Could you please let me know where I would I go about adding type=”hidden” ?

I’ve tried looking at the searchform.php but there’s no mention of near.

Thanks

Peter

in this case the search form is custom and comes from the theme. You’d need to ask this question to the theme author as we are not 100% familiar with it.

Thanks
