    Hello

    for some time now, we have been unable to add the GD search widget to our pages. We are able to add all other widgets and while the search widget appears on the widget page as having successfully placed, when you go to the geo page it can’t be seen. We have been trying to add it to our sidebars.

    Hello Guust
    We can see the GD search widgets we have added at the top sections in the past, but we are no longer able to add a GD search widget to any page for example we are trying to currently put one on a right sidebar to see how it looks, and while we can place the widget there on the widget select page it does not carry through to appear in the place we have instructed the widget to be. GDSRS (GD search right sidebar is supposed to have a GD search widget there but it’s not visable). This has been a problem for us for a few weeks now.

    Have you always used Custom Sidebars?
    Does turning off the sidebar plugin fix things?

    Hi,

    I’m not 100% sure if it is JetPack adding the “Widget Visibility” option, but I tend to think that is the source of the problem. We would have to disable it to test and cofirm, apparently it prevents the search widget to be added to any sidebar.

    It could be something else.

    However I was able to add the search widget using the shortcode in a text widget.

    Let me know if this is an acceptable solution or you prefer us to further investigate.
