as ubermenu is a very beautiful menu tool but has also his effort to enable it and run it without disturbing the code of geodirectory I need some help and advice in – how to do.

1. Are there any core problems existing with geodirectory that you would suggest not to use ubermenu?

2. How am I able to add the multicity select dropdown switcher into the main menu also to be used with ubermenu?

Regards, Alex

P.S. Please feel free to add suggestions and tips within this thread

To make it work fine with GD, please ensure that in the settings, the Google map isn’t loaded (there is an option for that) otherwise you will have a conflict with the google map call made by GD. To add the location switcher, just assign the menu in GD as yo u would normally do, it should work, and remember, you can use a shortcode for that too

thanks for advice in case of ubermenu queries. I have deactivated the google maps function within ubermenu, so it should not disturb the use of it.

If I go further with the GD core menu there are some things to clear first…

1. If I use your core menu on mobile, there is a problem in case of hidden and not shown submenu item arrows (screencast – http://screencast.com/t/r4UvWQWuoFed ). How am I able to adjust that they are not hidden any more from main mobile page at right side? There is in need to adjust the arrows a bit more left not to be hidden from the main content.

2. What I like the most of ubermenu is the icons they provide prior menu item link (Screenshot – http://screencast.com/t/3iTmJD6fzPJV ), which is not available in your core menu structure. Or are you able to give advice how to enable this within gd core menu.

Regards, Alex

1) I’ve tested your website on both desktop with browser shrinked and on my tablet and the mobile menu works as expected. The arrow is there and if I click on it I see the submenus. Not sure I understand what it doesn’t work for you.

2) The icons (and other options) are what makes Ubermenu particularly heavy on database queries. Adding Ubermenu can increase your website queries by up to 100%, doubling the time needed for the page to get info from the database. Just for aesthetical reason, I personally don’t think it’s worth it.

Thanks
