Urgg – Add listing link, add event link

Hi, I just updated GD, AND I also updated Genesis theme, so not sure what might make this happen. I have an “add Listing” link and an “add Event” link in a secondary menu, both worked a few days ago. Neither work now, just reverts to home page. Tried logged in and logged out in different browsers.

Links used: http://xxx.com/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_place
AND http://xxx.com/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_event

this is a subdomain, but like I said, they were working before. any ideas?

Hi m forbes,

I had to activate another theme to check if the theme was the problem (it wasn’t) and that messed up your widgets a bit and I wasn’t sure how to put them back as they were… but at least I found your problem.

Both gd_place and gd_event were not allowed to be added from front end in GD >> Design >> Navigation >> Allow post type to add from frontend.

I hope it won’t take that long to rebuild the widgets, sorry about that…

Hi Paolo,

Did the GD update change my settings? In the future when updating do I need to go in and check to make sure the settings are as they should be? Well, I guess if this issue comes up, this is the first thing to do :).

No problem about the widgets, I’m not adding much until I figure out other stuff :).

I don’t think it did. There is no function on update that could change options.

There wa only 1 cpt allowed: Mai e ‘ai! and there wasn’t a link to it’s add listing form…
