I have got into huge problem of importing 0.1 million listings.

I have imported 50000(fifty thousand listings in to the geodirectory) till date.
But now the import process is running very slow i.e., 100 listings for 1 hour which is very slow compared to what I had started in the first place.

I don’t know what exactly is causing it to become slow.

It is not raising any memory error or any such thing but it is running quite slow.

I used the latest version of Geodirectory earlier but failed to get the results. I have reinstalled old version Geodirectory as I had files formatted for this version of Geodirectory.

Could you please check the site to see what actually is causing the problem.

It process 5 rows at a time. On our dedicated server it takes apprrox 1.2 sec per listing. 140 listings where imported in a little over 3 minutes.

According to you what should be the server configuration when trying to run 0.1 million listings with Geodirectory.

can you provide a tool that will help me monitor the actual memory usage and processor usage by my website at any point of time.

I am really desperate to complete this task of importing.

currently you are using a version of GeoDirectory that is over 10 sub-version below current version.

Please update everything and try again. Than we will discuss if it’s still slow or not.

In any case for over 30k listings I would always recommend a Dedicated server.
