I’m nearly finished with my nice GeoDirectory + Kleo install … but one last thing is giving me a headache, and I can’t find a solution to the problem:

Normally, when you click the “add a listing” button, and you are not logged in, you are redirected to a login window.

On my website, it redirects you to the homepage instead.

I was able to figure out that the problem is caused (or at least triggered) by the “Plugin Organizer” plugin – which is great to reduce the amount of active plugins.

As soon as I use the necessary option to define the plugins running on pages, this problem appears. If I switch the option off, or deactivate the plugin, the redirects works as expected (but of course lots of other conflicts pop up, which is why I want to stick with it.)

I do know that we’re talking about a third party plugin here, so I don’t expect you to put too much effort into it – but since you definitely know your plugin best, maybe you can be so kind and give me a hint which funktion or functionality of GeoDirectory is crashed, here. I’ll post you the link in a moment.

It’s probably not the most elegant way, but it works: I’m using the advise you gave here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/redirecting-the-login-page/

So although the WP login form is not as elegant as the one used before, it works. I’ll probably get back to this issue later some time, when everything else works smoothly and all content is in place.

the only solution would be to ask for support to the “Plugin Organizer” developer.

I don’t know how his plugin works and why it is redirecting to the home page when calling the signup page.

But maybe he does.

yes, thank you very much.
For now I found a workaround by setting up the plugin in a different way. (Using filters instead of post type settings, in case someone with the same problems reads this.)
That works.
