I’d like to be able to use the related post settings to show specific listings as follows-

I have listings for Farms, Farmers Markets and Grocery Stores.

I’d like to let the Farms link themselves to the GD listings of the Farmers Markets and Grocery Stores that buy their products (and have those listings show in the Related Listing tab).

Additionally, I’d like for the Farmers Markets and Grocery Stores to be able to show the Farms that they buy from.

What is the best way to accomplish this? Can it be done with tags? Custom Fields?

I’m open to suggestions.

Thanks.

Thanks for the quick response.

I’d like to set this up so that the listing owners can manage the linking by themselves. I’m looking for ideas or best practices to put a system like that in place. Can you provide some additional direction or suggest a link to something in the documentation that expands on this concept?

Unfortunately there is not a right option to make this like a “checkbox” or similar

I think letting the listing owners manage their own tags for this purpose would become unwieldy and unmanageable very quickly. 🙁

Perhaps a better approach would be to extend the functionality of the related post system to be able to use the listing’s Title Field to make connections? If it’s not a huge amount of work I would be willing to commission you (or a developer you work with and trust) to customize this.

Would this functionality be a valuable addition to the core? Not sure if other users would find this useful or not but it provides a necessary competitive edge for our application.

Tell your farmers to favorite their sellers and add a link to that list.
