When trying to register as a new user to submit a new place, the system told me I would get an email with a password, but that never happened, has anyone had the same issue?
Then, before I go live, I would like to know if I can review and edit submissions before posting, can I?
And the last aspect that worries me is the set location, when trying to submit a place somewhere else, the form asks me to stay in the default location, I did read in a forum that the company has a plugin to enable geo location so that users can add theirs, but I want to know if there is a workaround. I don’t like it when I need a plugin to fix a bug in another plugin. Has anyone looked into this?

The plugin you are talking about is the MultiLocation plugin, and is not a fix for a bug, but and extension and it allows your directory to cover a bigger area than just one city (the default location).
The free GD version is only suitable for a directory for one location.
