change image url links

    Hi,

    I have installed the GD plugin on a staging site and today everything has moved to the main URL. It all went very well expect for the images in the GD plugin – they are still referring to the old url. For example the category icons are not shown (at least not the ones I did not re-upload manually) and the stars.png images are also not shown. When I check with firebug I can see why: they are still referring to the old url which was newsite.domainname.com. Is there any way to change these URLs? For the category icons I could do it manually but the other ones I can not figure out how to do it.

    http://www.eat-amsterdam.com is the url and here is an example of a page where the “stars” images for the rating are not shown: http://www.eat-amsterdam.com/places/restaurants-020/

    This is the tool you need: https://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/

    That will change all URLs.

    Hi Guust,

    My problem is not in the URL’s – I did all that according to the Moving WordPress File you sent me. The only thing that is not shown correctly are the GeoDirectory images that are in the assets folder. I don’t feel confident enough to use the PHP search and replace tool. I’m just to scared to mess things up now that I am finally up and running. Is there no way to do this manual? It is only 1 image…. For the category items I did them all manual and they are working fine right now.

    Are you using the review manager?
    Have a look at http://www.eat-amsterdam.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=geodirectory&tab=multirating_fields&subtab=geodir_rating_style you might be able to upload the correct image there (copy it from the demo site).
    But I’ll get Stiofan to have a look at your question too.

    This link brings me to an almost blank page so I think I m not using the review manager? I can’t upload or change anything there. Not sure to be honest.

    If you are comfortable with going into the database you can search for newsite.eat-amsterdam.com and replace with eat-amsterdam.com

    I think it is in the wp_options table.
    Otherwise, search in the database, not the tables.

    Hi Guust, unfortunately it is not. I can’t find how to search the whole database. Maybe i’ll wait to see if Stiofan has another of his briljant ideas….

    It is just this one last thing and then we can announce to the world we have a new website 🙂
