RSS or other way to update users on new event / places

    Hi,

    is there a way to update existing WP users when a new event/place is added via newsletter for example – is there an rss feed specific for Geodirectory I could link MailChimp to?

    The highlight would be if I could match a tag, category or data field from a user profile to event/place category and that would trigger an email when a new event/place is added.

    Any pointers much appreciated – and thanks again- the more I get into the depth of GD the more I see how powerful it is!!

    Hello,

    GeoDirectory doesn’t have any particular features for that, but WordPress has feeds for all posts.

    There are other protocols, too, for subscriptions like PubSubHub available through third party plugins designed to work with WP feeds.

    that helps. I know it is not part of your support but can you (if you know) let me know if I have to add an additonal RSS feed (wwww.site.com/providers/feed) to WP ?

    the blog feed http://www.site.com/feed doesnt pick up providers / events

    Forget my previous question. Sometimes it helps to think…

    I was looking for the feed at /providers/feed and it is at /provider/feed or event/feed
